Breitling Bullhead 43mm, ref 7101 (Manual Winding)

The Breitling Bullhead was launched in the early part of the 1970s and is now one of the rarest models in the world, with a few NOS examples fetching well over £5500!

With connections to the popular motor racing scene of that era, its unique shape very closely resembling a mechanical race stop-watch.

When launched it was availble in just two colours, with two differing crown layouts, and available as both an automatic and also as a manual winding watch.

This particular example suggests the standard 7740 movement was replaced at some point with a Breitling 7734 movement (as is not uncommon for watches from this period), the only clear difference being the date-wheel, which reads vertically rather than horizontally.

The watch however is in incredible condition for 50 year old model, with perfect functionality of the Chronograph, and perfect timekeeping comparable to a modern Breitling of today! Clearly a cherished piece and certainly maintained well throughout its life. An amazing collectors piece, and unique in so many ways.

Supplied with your choice of suitable 22/20 strap (brown leather or blue suede).
