Breitling Chronomat Evolution 44mm, 18K Bi-Colour Design
 
The Evolution is not only one of the finest watches ever made by Breitling, but also one of the very last to be designed during the Schneider era of watch production, and their largest made at the time.

Up until this point the company was renowned for building over engineered heavyweight watches with bold and striking details, with this being one of the last to use rider tabs surrounding the bezel (solid 18K gold on this example), used to protect the glass and to provide the owner with a greater degree of confidence that a high end timepieces could withstand the punishment of daily life.
 
This rather rare example features an etched multi-layer silver dial, with contrasting gold sub-dials, hands and indexes, giving it both beauty and a very strong presence on wrist.

Serviced by Breitling in 2022, the watch remains mechanically perfect and in superb cosmetic condition, with only minor use since. Fitted at that time on Breitling's latest style of easy-fit deployant clasps, matched with their new rubber mesh straps.

Sold with the original owners manual, service book, plastic bezel protector and storage case.
