The Breitling Navitimer 2400 Cosmos was launched in the early part of the 1980s, and featured in a new line of sophiciated multifunctional quartz pilots watches.
40 years on the stainless steel cosmos is an incredibly rare model, but to see an 18K gold plated version in such remarkable cosmetic condition is quite exceptional.
Whils there are obvious signs of use, with light wear to the crystal glass too, the overall condition of the watch is outstanding for its age and the best example we've seen to date.Whilst not common for a watch this age, the gold plating remains near perfect and being unpolished its original brushed finish remains in tact as well.
Timekeeping from the analogue clock remains exceptionally accurate for daily use, as you'd expect from a high grade quartz watch. The LCD display however would originally have offered a second time-zone and stopwatch, but as is common of many, this secondary feature no longer functions due to loss of the display.
Complete original Breitling Cosmos owners manual and aftermarket watch box.
A remarkable little watch and a real talking point among collectors, few if any out there will surpass the condition of this superb Breitling Cosmos.
