Breitling New Jupiter Quartz Navitimer - Gold Plated Special Edition

Launched in 1986, the Jupiter was the largest in Breitling's range of new quartz watches (measuring 41.5mm). Incorporating a sizable rotating slide-rule bezel, this was a popular choice for both pilots and military personnel.

Alike to many two-timer style watches of the 1980s the Jupiter features both a primary analogue clock and a multipurpose LCD display too. Scrolling through the options this provides a secondary time-zone, day/date/month, chronograph stopwatch and daily alarm. The watch also features an optional hourly chime and has an LCD display light.
 
This exceptional example is one of the cleanest and most original we've ever come across, with no degradation at all to the gold plated finish of the watch or bracelet. 
 
In preparation for sale the watch has been cleaned, tested and fitted with a brand new Renata battery in September 2025, with a typical lifespan quoted at 3-4 years. 
 
Supplied is in absolutely perfect working order in all areas, from the rotating bezel down to all functions of the LCD display. These include a primary and secondary time-zone, day/date/month display, stopwatch, audible alarm and hourly chime function. The watch also has a classic night light to subtly illuminate the LCD in dark conditions.
 
Provided with the watch we've a very rare set of accessories, including the original owner’s manual, a blank warranty registration document, and classic storage case and with sleeve.

Very few gold plated Jupiters are ever seen or come up for sale, these are now an incredibly rare watch, especially in comparison to the stainless steel version. We do know of others for sale currently across the globe, but none we have seen are in this collector standard condition!
